</u>It makes you say, "I don't mind Russians" to the guy in your class, who is interested in military history, that you thought would be interesting to talk to...who is also Vietnamese. ; v ; FML.

I wasn't talking about Communism; just Russians and Russian history in general. ...But based on what we were discussing beforehand, I'm pretty sure he was thinking Communism.

It was way too late to take it back after I figured it out.

So I had to write an apology/explanation in an email.

I don't think he's seen it.

**CRUSHING WEIGHT OF SHAME**

So there goes a potential friend. ; v ; And I feel so terrible, too. I don't even know how I could have been so tactless; I'm usually careful to think about that kind of thing (or at least realize what I've said wrong soon enough to correct it).
Even worse, I hope he doesn't think I'm dumb or feigning interest in the history of warfare just to...idk, flirt or something. DB> I honestly just wanted to have a conversation.

LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO, IVAN BRAGINSKY. /SOB

So yeah, just thought I'd share one of my everyday failures with you. btw, If you're waiting for me to get back to you on a comment/deviation/note/whatever, you may have to wait a while; I've been too tired to go through that kind of thing.

-.-; That's happened to me before. Every time we're learning abaout something in History that I've seen in Hetalia, I get over-excited. Then everyone looks at me like I'm nuts.(Granted, I am, but still! DDDX)

Ivan always seems to mess someone's life up, doesn't he? XD

Ha, I am totally symphathetic about your plight! I study in an international school and the number of times I see comparisons with Hetalia is incredible... But some people are so self-conscious and confuse everything >.> I hope it turns out OK, anyway...

though the basic idea of communism (equality for all) isn't too bad. it was the... execution.

ahahaha...if he really thought communism, it would depend more on wether he is Southern Vietnamese or Northern, but I guess that doesn't matter in the long run.
Um....just be careful around Vietnamese old people.>x>;;

Haha it's really true.
Hetalia puts a cute face on history, but some people feel pretty strongly about these things.

Still, it's not right for someone to be offended by something like that.

It's a bit like how much of Europe did not appreciate the Bush era, but it's still rude to dislike Americans because of it.

Ouch... That's what happens when you watch a little too much anime. If I watch too much Higurashi or Umineko, I get a little... crazy, too. Anything -I repeat, ANYTHING- can set off my anger.
Taki: And god forbid, you do NOT want to see her when she's pissed.

:iconhigurashiplz::iconbloodplz::dead: :dead: :dead: :dead::dead: :dead:

^ THAT is how crazy I can be. Then again, if I haven't had my Cymbalta in a long time and watch Higurashi or Umineko, the damage is about a hundred-fold. Thank you~ *sudden mood change*

Its already mentioned above several times, but I have to repeat.
I think he overreacted. And I hope for him he reads that mail, or else... I am not sure if he is worth it. People who judge others from a single talk usually are not the best people to hang out with. Because they might turn around from friend to foe very quickly when someone tells them shit about you. *insert sad memories here*
...
I don't say this because I am a russia-fan (the country and humans. Not only the APH character.)
Instead I believe there would occure similar problems if I would say how much I like germany. (wich I dont, even though I live there.)
When you live in germany and show you are proud of germany... many people there will start thinking you are a nazi. =_=;

So I'm not alone when it comes to these things. XD Today in in Social Studies, my teacher was talking and she said, "Germany was actually two countries at the time. Anybody know what the other was called?" And I shouted (out loud, but not too loud because I have a quiet voice) "Gilbert~!!" I totally embarrassed myself, orz.

Hetalia's pretty much screwed up my whole life in so many ways. But can't wait to learn more about WWII next year. >w<

I almost do the same exact thing.
A few weeks ago, in US Studies, my teacher was talking about qualities that the US has today, and so she called on somebody in the class.
The student said, "America always wants to be the hero." and I (quietly, because I too, am quiet, and I covered my mouth before anybody could hear) started to burst out laughing. XD

Aah, Hetalia~ How it invades our heads and changes the way we think about countries now~ C:

Ah...I'm sure, if you go talk to him about it, he'll understand...

(Thoughts: Please don't kill Italuv, Mr. AntiCommunist)I'm not really into communism...although it started as a good idea, a way to help make everyone equal in status... I just don't think it would work out very well.

There's also that little fact that Russian communist officials(or so I've read) weren't exactly fair and were regarded as "more equal than others"(from Animal Farm, 134) a while after Karl Marx(or was it Lenin?) introduced communism...I'm not sure if that is true of the present, but...

/shrugs/

Ah, I got carried away. Well, anyhow...I wish you luck with that person, Italuv. If he still believes all Russians are bad, even knowing
you didn't mean the communists...

DITCH THE GUY. IVAN IS AWESOME. (Wow, I wrote a speech...just for this...haha.../gets easily carried away/)

There is a kid in my class that is tall, has Russias hairstyle and nose. Cept his hair is black, dsfsd.

I called him Ivan without knowing his name, PFFFT. So his nickname in school is now Ivan. It's kinda awkward calling him that though, because it makes me feel uber lame.

The funny thing is that he's Mexican.

I MEAN THAT IN THE NON-RACIST WAY, because I'm not racist.

Yay, Communism!
Uh, I mean... Russians! Yay, Russians! ^^;

(lol bad joke, sorry)
Russia and its culture is pretty neat, though. If that guy gets upset over a little misunderstanding like that, then he probably isn't worth talking to.
And their military tactics are awesome (sort of sarcasm). Enemy soldiers were approaching, so what did they do? Civilians burned their own villages down and ran before the soldiers can find anything useful there. Yup. The soldiers sure did run out of supplies and fail.

Sorry, my roommate is Russian, so I learn some interesting stuff~

(I hope no one takes this offensively)
