So, lately, in order to temporarily fill the gaping space in my heart left by the loss of my beloved computer, I've been doing a lot of random things I don't normally do. For example, looking for unpopular but otherwise good manga and reading a lot of Blue Wizard is About to Die. P:

So, as far as the manga has gone, the only really notable one I've read is called Liar Game ([link]). It's a lot like Death Note in that it's not really shoujo or shounen, but more about intellect. :D I definately recommend it. It's got a very interesting concept, but it's not as lengthy as Death Note (and the main character isn't an OCD freak who takes up an entire chapter just to describe their plans in minute detail and gets excited over the stupidest things. "I take a chip, and EAT IT!! [maniacal laughter]")

...Also, when I was reading it, I couldn't help but think "Akiyama-san's kinda hot..." TT_TT Shameless, I know. Perhaps I've been hanging around the fangirls for too long.

As for Blue Wizard is About to Die, it's a book of poetry...about video games. Yes. It sounds totally ridiculous, but trust me, it's a good read. You can order it online for about fifteen dollars; that's how I got my copy. :P It was worth it. I have to warn you, though, most of the poems are about arcade or somewhat older games (there are only a couple of new ones), so if you've been hiding in a closet all your life, and have never played in an arcade, you won't understand a thing.
I really like the poems Mario, Half-Life, "Lag", Boss Battles, Meditations on Murder, A Good Walk Spoiled (A toast to games with the personality of cardboard), Interesting Concept, Orgeon Trail, etc. But I think my favorite one would be "Things I've Experienced".

For those who have absolutely nothing better to do, here's how it goes (btw, there's a Legend of Zelda, a Metal Gear Solid, and a Final Fantasy reference in here. See if you can find 'em ;D):

"THINGS I'VE EXPERIENCED:

you ever sneak up behind someone with a garrote and land
that fateful killing strike, steal his clothes,
and then head into the heart of darkness, the enemy installation?

you ever crack open a single bullet that you
hid in your gut, swallowed, when the guerillas
caught you, CIA boy?; you ever harvest that
gunpowder into an explosive bolt of freedom
blowing out the cell door, loping into the
sweet jungle danger night?

you ever liberate a town from the grips
of a biker gang? Eh?

you ever fight the Revolver Ocelot, his patter
getting to you, searching through the columned
shadows of the storage room, looking
for his long white ponytail and TB cough?
'I love the smell of cordite; you know,
that sulfur smell?'

even better, you ever stand at the end of the universe
and dip your toe in its oblique waters,
feeling the time sickness suck at your bones
like leeches that must feed on the marrow of living memory?
you ever fight a samurai on a Russian steppe in
the year 2095 AD?
how about running a fiefdom? Where is Oda now, you
weak kneed f*ck?

so sure, you laugh,
think it's all a game, a silly
past time made of candy
colored marbles thrown down
on the four square chalk;
but, I tell you,
I have done these things,
and it is no game;
when done well,
it is a dream. When perfect,
you can be god.

you ever pilot a five hundred ton
robot the height of an office building
across the blasted surface of
a silent white moon?
well, I say, that's where it's at...
poetry in those rockets
squealed through zero g,
the screams of your team mates ejecting...

I have flown Spitfires into visions of hell
the likes of which no one from my generation
will ever be able to imagine,
dog fighting 7 me109s
alone in the skies above
secret missions in the Ardennes...

I have watched entire cities
encapsulated in the protective hull of
capital ships, magisterial sea-cow inheritances
from the British Empire,
shatter in space, their bows broken,
and have heard the screams as everyone was slaughtered.

I have also explored caves. So many caves. More caves
than there are in the known universe...been down every one
and back again
two times of more...

I have fought the black knight,
borne on the back of an ostrich.
I have done that. I have done that.

I have flown through city night skies
a blue serpent, unseeable, secretive,
twisting and serene, like smoke through the skyline.

I have woken to visions of hell so supreme
that only grenades can solve it,
meaty axe monsters, giant, red-balloon demons,
fictions too obscene for any madman, dreams
that inhabit the minds only of the living dead

and yet, I have seen a girl cry,
small and weary, stupidly clutching a doll,
her mother cut down by sniper fire,
and I have wanted to cry as well...

I have seen an ancient old man
long forgotten in the tombs
of a fiction world
after a fictional apocolypse.
Deranged and broken,
they left him there for so long...
but I have heard him!
he sings to the steel,
the walls, and vacuum pressured doors;

he sings ancient songs of vaudeville
that no one else I know
knows or remembers; I write fan letters,
I cry, I get drunk thinking of such things,
for, for once, someone has
managed to envision my future as I see it;
they have encapsulated a future me and
sent me back to me so I can hear,
behind the music;
I can hear the overt message;

I have seen and done these things,
and they were real.
Real enough to dream of.
Good enough to remember for years;
things worth crying over,
experiences that sadden the heart
and exalt the spirit:
standing at sunrise
over a blasted town
or flying home after a long mission when
"flack's opening up;"
jeesus;= my whole wing is dead;
hit the silk, now, get out! and the canopy's jammed...
that's what I have done, forgetting many
other exceptional dreams.
These are things that I think of
when drunk and in need of another world
so, in the words of that desperate,
last-ditch pilot:
'this one's for you, Gerri'
let him have it."

Hey, gotta make this quick (sorry, I was fully prepared to post a long and interesting journal before my mom abruptly informed me that it was time for homework. There is no god!!!! DX)
So, yeah, you're gonna have to go for quite a while without seeing any work from me. Why? Because I forgot to turn in an essay. D:> So I got my computer taken away (literately, my mom took the moniter out of my room). Meaning I can't scan any work, and I have to go on DA on my mom's piece of crap excuse of a computer.

:cries: I'm sorry, but trust me, I'm suffering more than you.

And also, before I go, I want to say that I'm going to use a new policy from now on. I'm only answering messages on my user page, new journals, and on the first two pages of any new deviations. Anything else will be summarily deleted and uncounted for. D: I'm sorry, but I can't keep up with all the comments, so if you have something REALLY important to say (not "omigod, this is so cute!" Appreciated, but not important) you can say it on my user page or in a note.

So, bye bye, and I'll be posting art again in a month or so :hug: (but I'll try to come on every now and then to update)

**points at sky** HEY WHAT'S THAT!?
...
Is the kind of thing I expect to randomly happen in my school some day. We have so many fire drills that nothing comes as a surprise anymore, so eventually, we'll have something really crazy...like Superman or aliens. Preferably aliens.

So hey, hey, where do you stand on religion? (That's a rhetorical question, btw, I don't need a monologue xD) Cause I was curious what you guys would score on here:

1. Strong theist. 100 per cent probability of God. In the words of [link], 'I do not believe, I know.'

2. Very high probability but short of 100 per cent. De facto theist. 'I cannot know for certain, but I strongly believe in God and live my life on the assumption that he is there.'

3. Higher than 50 per cent but not very high. Technically agnostic but leaning towards theism. 'I am very uncertain, but I am inclined to believe in God.'

4. Exactly 50 per cent. Completely impartial agnostic. 'God's existence and non-existance are exactly equiprobable.'

5. Lower than 50 per cent but not very low. Technically agnostic and leaning towards atheism. 'I don't know whether God exists but I'm inclined to be sceptical.'

6. Very low probability, but short of zero. De facto atheist. 'I cannot know for certain but I think God is very improbable, and I live my life on the assumption that he is not there.'

7. Strong atheist. 'I know there is no God, with the same conviction as Jung "knows" there is one.'

~The God Delusion (Richard Dawkins)

So, I'd say I'm about...6 and a half, maybe. P: I don't have the conviction to say FOR SURE that God doesn't exist, but it's what I believe.
Oh yes...for those of you who don't know, I'm atheist. Don't freak out. It's not a bad word. I'm anti-religious, but I'm not going to hate on you for your religion, just as I would expect you to not hate on me for my disbelief in religion. I'm still ItaLuv, and I'm the same as I ever was :hug: But all of that aside, how to YOU rank on the scale? Cause I'm curious :3

Oh yeah, the other day I experienced the feelings of both wanting to jump for joy and wanting to rip someone's head off. :3 Because I finally figured out how to color directly under a scan in Fireworks/Photoshop (just apply "Multiply" to the layer with the scan, and color in a layer underneath it). It was probably obvious, but it took me forever to figure it out. ;___; All of those wasted hours spent tracing over what had already been drawn.... And thus my spasmotic anger. :D

With those last notes, I bid thee farewell! **rides off into the sunset**

ARRRRGHHHHH!! MUST. GET. OUT. OF. HEAD. NOAW!!!! D:< **rattles head**

...

As you can see, ItaLuv is busy trying to get Simple and Clean (a song she does not own TT_TT) out of her head. Please wait for several minutes for her to get a NEW song stuck in her head and move on with life.

...

Ah. Okay. I'm better now. :3
So, what's up? I think it's pretty much been established now that I'm only getting on once a week or so. D: I just don't have time with school and life. Plus, I'm trying to cut back on computer time. Why? No reason, really. It's not as though I'm restricted or anything. :shrug:

My real problem is that once I get back on, I have no new art to show for the time I've been gone. ;__; Sorry guys, but I'll have to scrounge up something crappy for you.

Oh, hey, guess what? 8D I HAVE A TWIN! lol :iconnaru-lover: is my long-lost twin. You see, I was born on August 17, and she was born on December 17. :excited: We're totally matching! **bounces up and down** Yeah..soo...I've been hanging around her too much, and now I'm all hyper. xD

Hm...Nothing particularly exciting or interesting has been going on lately. ...Other than Kishimoto-sensei's deteriorating writing skills. D: I mean, I was all estatic when I found out that Itachi-sama's a good guy, but....it was.... How do I put this? Not up to par with what we used to see in Naruto. I mean, it seems like the storyline's just kind of slipping away in Shippuden. The characters are much cooler, but the first part just had such a great plot in comparison. P: Oh well, maybe I'm wrong, and it's just a phase or something.

So, I just saw La Misma Luna the other day. P: It was pretty good, but not nearly as epic as I Am Legend. :D I'm waiting for a new movie to top that one to come out.

Anyhoo, gotta run, so take care my little pizza-pies! xD (I have no idea.)

:iconimhappyplz: lol, that title got your attention, didn't it? 8D It's a total lie, of course. **murdered sadistically by my fellow fangirls**

Wow, it's been so long since I've posted anything. DX;; Life's moving too fast, and I can barely keep up.

So anyways...... I hear u liek Mudkips. P: **shot**

Yeah, I went to the con the other day, and it was (in short) AWESOME. :D Though we kept getting stopped every thirty seconds so that people could take pictures of :iconmaverick-hunter-kat:, who cosplayed as Cloud. Hee hee, and my little brother was dressed as chibi L~ :hug: It was too adorable. Hm...for once I was the one who wasn't dressed as a character. P: I wore a kimono, but it's not like I was a specific character.... (I'll have to step up my game for the next con XD)

And without going into gory details, I bought a massive hoard of Itachi, Gaara, and L stuff. ^///^ My favorite being a tiny figurine of young Itachi with his hand up in the air like he's about to poke someone. TTwTT It's so adorable, and it goes so well with the recent events of his death.

btw, even though I've been gone for forever, I do have a lot of pictures to put up, so have no fear. xD I am an eternal slave to art, whether I get on dA or not!

Lately I've been drawing a lot on flash, too. I have to get better at flash! No matter what!! **tidal wave in background** IT'S MY ULTIMATE GOAL!!! lol, just kidding. xD I dream bigger than that~

Also, this is for those of you who read Fruits Basket (yeah, you may not know it, but I'm a huge Furuba fan). WHO READ BOOK #19?? 8D It seems like Takaya-sensei is finally getting around to the KyoxTohru scenes that I've been waiting so long for. >w< I've always been a HUGE fan of KyoxTohru~
I guess I could read the online scanlations, but all the ones I've seen so far are total suckage. D:< The grammer is awful; to the point where you can't even comprehend what they are trying to say. Plus, waiting for it to come out in America gives me something to look forward to. :D

Hm...there's nothing else very interesting to talk about (not that this journal was interesting to begin with). P: Darn! And I promised myself I would post more interesting jornals and less "waste your life away while reading about mine" journals. DX

Guess you'll have to wait for next time ^_~
