This is the rough sketch for my art project. The theme is confinement/containment in general, but we're given a lot of freedom to interpret that for ourselves.
As for me, I had wanted to do a Cantarella-themed picture, but I was too afraid to use characters that were not my own (I have a feeling that wouldn't go over so well in a contest). Instead, I used it as my inspiration and just made up two characters on the fly. P: Tried to make it as non-cartoony as I could without deviating too far from my style. >.> At least it's not chibi... Will put up a photo of the complete picture once it's finished (provided it turns out good), and this will likely be scrapped. P: [EDIT] Completed version: [link] |

Chains look nice and detailed C: and I like this new style, unlike me, I have to draw everything in chibi XD;; I was hoping I could learn ways to draw regular anime, instead of just chibis. How long did it take you to master both styles? :0 Because some tips would be helpful.
I'm wondering, may I have permission to color this? : D I probably won't be able to scan it because I lack a scanner (of course it'd have to be colored in traditional, because I don't PS or anything like it) D: I'm trying to convince my mom to let me get Fireworks though.
I can't wait to see this finished! What are you going to use to color this? Because I think pastels would be awesome. But then again, pastels are very messy XD Colored pencils are always nice if you have good quality. Crayola is ok :/ but I prefer Prisma-Colors.
The clothes on the two characters look kind of old fasion-ed, it just reminds me something from the Civil War Era XD I don't really know why.
