So yes, after complaining about how much work I've got piling up on my shoulders, I had the gall to decide to audition for an OC tournament! It's like digging your own grave! **shot** But the auditions are over in October, so I figured there's plenty of time for me to do this. ^^

I decided to enter in Sugar-chan, with Pie-san as her "familiar", I guess you'd call it? Yes, I know it says "Søt and Demens", but it's really just Søt-chan.

Because I felt it would be silly to enter them with confectionery-based names. I'll just have to trust the good people of dA not to be thieving (Hahahasarcasticlaugh).

I also changed their outfits, in an attempt to fit in with the theme of the contest a little more. P: It's Film Noir...in complete honesty, I've never watched one of those kinds of movies before. I think it's a good challenge, though, so I want to try it! (Tons of research will be in store, though)

A Little Extra Info:

"Søt" is Norwegian. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's pronounced more or less the same way as the English word "soot".

As for "Demens", it's Latin, and it's pronounced exactly the way it looks. (Once again, correct me if I'm wrong.)

There's really no background story to Søt. How she met Demens and her past life is a mystery.

Demens lives as a parasite inside Søt's consciousness, and lives by feeding off of approximately half of her energy. His whole existence is more of an...entity per say, as opposed to a real human being.

Both of them view the world as an "ugly" one, and both have their views on how it should be fixed. While Søt believes that peace can be restored a little bit at a time, Demens is more for a "format and start over" method. Which is why they're in this city: Søt wants to restore peace and Demens just wants to cross another town off of his hit list.

Whether they agree with each the others views or not, they need each other to survive.

As far as personality goes, if you know Søt from my 4koma comics, then you probably have a basic idea of what she's like. Shy, nice, innocent, and overall probably not the kind of person who should be getting mixed up in these contests. She's the exact opposite of one of those super-powered characters; she has NO powers. That's where Demens comes in.

You might say "Well in that case, why not just enter Demens and save everyone a lot of time?" But Demens is completely insane. I can't exaggerate that enough. If he were walking around this place, he's just go murderlize everyone he could, no matter what age, gender, race, or whose side they're on. He needs someone to keep him in check.

Well, erm, that's all I can think about. Later I'll put up the Introduction entry, where you'll get to see Søt entering Core-Up City. ;D
